FENTANYL!

That was scary, wasn’t it? but that’s nothing compared to;

SUPERFENTANYL!.

I wish I hadn’t needed to do that to you, but moving forward, there are some interesting, worrying things we should discuss.

As some of you may have seen in the news recently, a tragedy in New Mexico involving deadly exposure to an unknown substance caused an emergent event, which cost the lives of citizens and endangered the lives of responding emergency services.

The ‘unknown substance’ was later revealed to be fentanyl, which we all suspected it would be when we first saw the story, but it doesn’t seem to be as clear cut as that, not for me, anyway. From what I can gather, nobody knows much, and officials seem to be hesitant to divulge some of the facts of the matter.

Here’s what happened, boiled down;

Emergency services received a welfare concern, about an unconscious person, from their employer. This employer had found their absence strange.

First responders arrive to render aid and found four unresponsive victims.

Two are dead on the scene, one would later die in hospital, and one would survive.

All were given Narcan.

Soon after arrival, first aiders and officers on the scene began to exhibit signs of exposure, twenty responders were admitted to hospital.

The substance was found to be para-flourofentanyl, or ‘P4’, in powder form.

So, what do I find weird about this? at first, it was the reporting.

Fox News have stated ‘several’ dead, numerous times in their article, but then goes on to report only two deaths, at one point, it even says 20 people were exposed, 20 people were admitted. Does that mean 40? I thought 20 seemed a lot, but the safer bet.

Next, numerous outlets have mistakenly misnamed one of the victims, honest mistake? Let’s think about it.

Mika and Georgia Rascon, 51 and 49, respectively. Sisters.

When I first saw the reports, when I saw;

         Micah (51) and Georgia (49) Rascon,

                           Instead of –

         Mika (51) and Georgia (49) Rascon,

I done what many other people would, wrongly.

I assumed, they were husband and wife.

Micah, the masculine spelling, led to me to believe almost unquestioningly that it was a married couple, and I moved on to the next thought.

Which is very convenient for the people who present these stories to us, because they don’t want me to ask, they either didn’t bother to check, don’t want to tell us, or just don’t care. They don’t want questions.

Now that you know they were sisters, does the scene you built in your head when you took this story in still make sense, play the same? I don’t think this is just a case of irresponsible drug users, while that certainly has played a major role, I think we are missing pieces of the picture, and the bad reporting regarding the matter has aided the obfuscation of the truth.

That seems like a trivial reason to mistrust the mainstream media, you’re right, but I have other issues.

Let’s think about the scene itself, literally.

Fentanyl can be absorbed through the skin and its pores, eyeballs, mucus tissues and airways, so in essence, don’t breathe it, don’t touch it.

On arrival, first responders find victims in different rooms of the residence, all have been exposed to the substance, and are unresponsive.

How were the victims exposed? Unclear.

It could be from voluntary ingestion, or involuntary exposure.

Involuntary exposure, unless all of the residents consumed something laced with the substance in the same room, or in different rooms at the same time, leaves it looking like it was most likely in the air.

A lot of people do not have faith in the police or  emergency services, I will not comment on that, what I will say is, I rely wholeheartedly on them to be well-equipped and busy, at the very least. So how did it take 20 people exposed before they realised they needed masks? It didn’t. They knew they needed masks after one, maybe two headaches.

The question then becomes, what is causing the exposure?

The substance itself is reported to have been in powdered form, why is everyone touching the powder with their bare skin in an active quarantine? Stop that.

Even if these initial victims had intentionally taken the substance, unfortunately losing their lives, how did one survive? There were five dogs in the residence, are dogs immune to whatever ‘P4’ is? They were quarantined, so again, unclear.

The whole thing seems off.

Tragic, and saddening, but off all the same.

The whole situation left me with two theories, that I can’t decide between.

The authorities aren’t really sure what happened, they took the proper measures, and they didn’t work. They were left in a position where they didn’t want to say they were not prepared and don’t know exactly how to counteract this incredibly dangerous substance, so they said as little as possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out not to be superfentanyl, after all.

Or;

If I was feeling wrapped in foil about it, I would probably comment on how there seem to be a lot of odd things happening in New Mexico the last few months.

Where the fuck is Nancy Guthrie? Who was looking for her, again?

Did they stop looking for her to start looking for someone else? did they find either?

What if this wasn’t just a random, unfortunate chemical incident?

The fact the dogs survived, makes me think it was only humans that were meant to be affected. Could this be some kind of last stand, or is it just another thing the authorities do not want to tell us the full truth about?
